Blorainfo – Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Blora Regency, Mohamad Khamdun, said that the nomination of DPD members is according to the amount of support.

The determination of nominees for members of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) for Central Java Province in Blora is still in the factual verification (verfak) stage.

There are nine potential candidates. Previously, 12 candidates and three others failed the administrative verification stage.

Based on Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections, for Central Java Province, there were 27,650,178 voters.

Then, if it goes above 15 million, it means the support is at least 5,000 people.

Because in Central Java there are 35 regencies/cities, at least the distribution is in 18 regencies.

Blora Andyka Fuad Ibrahim, Coordinator of the Legal Division (Kordiv) and Dispute Settlement of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), said that so far only five potential candidates have their data known.

The first verfak process of supphort for candidates for DPD members will end on 26 February.
