Surabaya City Bawaslu chairman Agil Akbar confirmed that text messages were sent to a number of numbers regarding the ban on political activity in places of worship.

According to Agil, according to PKPU 3 of 2022, the new campaign stage will start in November 2023. And places of worship include locations that are prohibited.

“We convey that places of worship, education, these are places that cannot be campaigned,” said Agil.

“If Pak Anies has not conveyed an invitation to vote for him, it means that he has not violated it. We will make sure that his speech first includes a call to vote for him, if not, it means that he does not fulfill the elements of the campaign,” he continued.
