Blorainfo – The transformer in Blora Square exploded.

It is suspected that the tool for changing the electric voltage was hit by friction from a tree branch.

Blora Square was pitch black because all the lights around it were off.

A PLN Blora officer, Heri Joko, said that the cause of the transformer explosion was due to friction with a tree.

“The transformer exploded because of friction between the tree and the transformer and tm (medium voltage).

You can see it from the substation, we came straight here,” said Heri Joko on Friday (24/3/2023) night.

A trader in Blora Square, Joko Supriyadi, said he was very surprised when the transformer exploded. Because, he is not far from the location of the transformer.

“Underneath, I was shocked. Duar! Everyone here was shocked.

The electricity immediately went out. It’s possible that there was wind and some leaves hit the transformer,” said Joko.

After being handled by PLN officers during a light rain accompanied by lightning, at around 19.00 WIB the electricity in Blora Square was back on.
